Zoe Saibu

I joined Drum Works in 2013 after walking past a classroom full of drums and thinking no matter what I have to be involved in whatever this is. After my first Drum Works session that was it! I was there every week and it became something I always looked forward to at school. It became a big stress reliever when I was doing my GCSEs and is definitely part of the reason I did so well and didn’t go mad!
The team helped and encouraged me to progress through the organisation to eventually become a member of our top semi-professional band and later onto the apprenticeship programme which allowed me to help continue the cycle of going into schools and teaching – giving other young people the opportunity to become a part of our Drum family.
