Jack is a poet, artist and arts educator from London. Rooted in language, his practice encompasses sound design, sculpture and moving image. Jack was the first poet and rapper to attend the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he gained a masters degree with distinction on the Leadership programme and was awarded the Guildhall ‘Starred’ award.
Jack has gained media coverage for his work in The Telegraph, Noisy (Vice), Classic FM, M Magazine, Sabotage Times, Dummy Mag and on BBC Radio London and has performed and exhibited his work both solo and collaboratively at venues including the Roundhouse and the Barbican. As a member of alternative hip-hop group ‘Strangelove’ Jack has co-written and released 3 EPs and performed at venues and festivals all over the UK and Europe, gaining radio play from BBC6 Music and NTS Radio along the way.
As an arts educator Jack has lead workshops in a wide range of contexts including hospitals, schools, community centres, pupil referral units and secure psychiatric units. He has also since returned to Guildhall to teach seminars on the subject of interdisciplinary creative practice.
