Annie Mumford
Drum Works Tutor
Annie is a freelance drummer based in London, originally from Switzerland.
In September 2019, she was invited to join the Drum Works team as a tutor, after completing her apprenticeship programme in Spring, and now helps lead sessions at The Garden School and Raines Foundation School.
Since 2018, she works part-time as a peripatetic drum tutor in London, co-leads Samba Workshops in Surrey, and supports students at The Academy of Contemporary Music, where she completed her BA (Hons) in Music Industry Practice & Performance.
Under the alias ‘Cherry T.’ she has performed at venues in Switzerland, Netherlands, and the UK, in genres such as kletzmer, accoustic, indie pop, blues and more recently hybrid-folk, as the drummer for UK based multi-culti band MARDHYS, and the duo redbook.
From collaborating with theatre companies and Musical Directors, Annie’s had the opportunity to take on the percussion chair for the English interpretation of ‘The Thorn of Acacia‘, a greek play written by Filippos Zarfeiadis (Actor, Director) and for the productions of ‘Zorro‘ and ‘Zorba! The Greek‘ performed by the Performance Preparation Academy: Musical Director Kevin Oliver Jones. In 2017, she was Italia Conti‘s drummer for their production of ‘Love me Tinder‘: Musical Director Nathan Dawe.
