JT is a freelance percussionist, tutor, and workshop leader based in London. He started working with Drum Works as a Tutor in September 2019, after completing the Drum Works training programme in Spring.

As a former percussionist with the National and Halle’ Youth Orchestras, he likes to fuse the sensibilities of his classical training with modern drumming styles and improvisational influences. JT plays drum kit, vibraphone and hybrid percussion set-ups with solo artists and groups in diverse settings. He has played for dance at the Barbican Centre, opera at King’s Place, band sessions at BBC Studios London and at Glastonbury Festival.

Upon moving to London JT also became passionate about community music making. He has been involved with a great variety of projects supporting different communities across the capital.
