Drum Heads spent a week working with musicians from the Pracatum Social Action group from Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, as part of the Back2Black festival.

The week included discussions of best practice between Drum Works and Pracatum tutors, collaborations between members of Drum Heads and Pracatum where they developed original drumming beats and patterns, and Pracatum drumming workshops with our partner east London schools.

Ths visiting musicians also worked with our tutors and members of Drum Heads to develop an all-comers community workshop, which was delivered at Fellows Court community centre in Hackney.

The week culminated in two performances and another all-comers workshop at Old
Billingsgate Market as part of the London 2012 Back2Black Festival.
