Rhia is a recorder player, composer, workshop leader and collaborator based in the UK and Australia.
She has performed her own work as part of the Sydney and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, and participated in the Bang on a Can Contemporary Music Festival in Massachusetts, USA. Rhia toured and performed around Australia with Big hART’s Helpmann Award winning production of Namatjira and regularly performs in London with her recorder duo, Gold Vox.
Rhia works extensively with community groups as a collaborator and facilitator, working in numerous schools, with a band from the St Mungo’s Homeless Charity, an orchestra of young people, adults with disabilities and a choir of women from Montserrat. She is currently project manager and active member of a group of musicians that deliver music sessions in hospital dementia wards, and works with a group of hearing impaired children at Lister Community School as part of Drum Works.
